MEET YOUR HAPPINESS ADVOCATES

HI, I'M LYNDSAY MORRIS

I'm thrilled to be your host throughout this 5-day HAPPINESS PARTY! We'll be getting to know each other quite well with daily emails, facebook lives, etc. but here's a little about me for now.

My passion is teaching health, happiness and infusing brain-based mind/body teaching strategies into classrooms across America. I strongly believe that if we teach health, happiness and essential life skills, starting at a young age, we can change the world. After all, when we change a classroom, we change a community and when we change many communities, we change the world.  

In 2014, I founded Generation Wellness, a company committed to developing strong hearts, minds and bodies. We empower students and educators around the world to live a life of happiness, health and success through trainings, webinars, video courses and our Wellness Warrior community.

My experience includes over a decade of serving children, educators and families as a 4th grade teacher, school counselor and trainer. The foundation of my work is spreading love and nothing lights me up more than teaching, connecting and talking about neurosience, happiness hacks and living life to the fullest!

MEET RJAY BARSH

Coach Barsh has individually mentored and trained several NBA , NCAA and international players. Currently, he is the Head Basketball Coach at Southeastern University, where he has led his team to the Final Four and consistently ranks in the top 3 teams in the conference.

Coach Barsh is a proven communicator and a relentless leader that has always raised the level for every college program he's represented, which is attributed to his unique ability to tap into the minds of athletes to help them exceed far beyond expectations.

His cutting-edge coaching methods and mindset practices have transcended the basketball court and created opportunities to speak in churches, corporations and camps across the world.

Every summer, Coach Barsh facilitates the Coach Barsh Academy and NBC basketball camps, helping 5,000 young athletes stretching from Bethel, Alaska to Rome, Italy.

MEET NORI SZANTO

Nori Szanto is a former semi-pro basketball player and sports marketing executive turned entrepreneur who is on a mission to help mothers become healthier and happier.

A veteran organizer of various Olympic Games, World Cups and continental events, Nora felt the ground beneath her shift when she became a mother.

With seemingly little room in her hectic schedule to fit in the intense workouts she was used to, Nora had the same struggle most mothers endure when they have kids: a post-baby mommy body that left her feeling sluggish, disappointed and self-conscious.

To help herself and other mothers facing a similar situation, in 2015 she quit her corporate job and became the founder of Busy Moms’ Happy Tribe where she created a mobile phone application, called Busy Mom’s Fitness.

Busy Mom’s Fitness is an accessible, simple and practical mobile app offering rapid and powerful workout programs that can be done in 10 minutes or less. The app also offers a wide range of nutritious recipes the entire family will love. 

Nori is Hungarian, lives in Switzerland and has two children: Theo (born in 2009) and Leonie (born in 2011).

MEET KATHY FLAMINIO

Kathy Flaminio is the creator of 1000 Petals LLC, a training and consulting company on the Science and Practice of Mindfulness, Movement and Social/Emotional Learning. She is committed to developing products and services that provide transformative experiences to help adults and children live a more integrated life.

Kathy holds a master’s degree in social work and is Adjunct Faculty for Saint Mary’s University. She has over 20 years in the schools in both regular and special education. As the National Director of Training Development for Yoga Calm®, Kathy has guided over 20,000 professionals to integrate yoga-based movement, mindfulness, and social/emotional skills strategies into classrooms, hospitals, home care and therapeutic settings. Kathy has partnered with the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's hospital to provide trauma informed yoga therapy for children and adolescents on the mental health and dual diagnosis units.

Over the past five years Kathy has worked with four of the largest schools districts in Minnesota to bring Yoga Calm® training to their educators district wide.  In 2014, Kathy helped develop the Teen Resiliency Program in the Twin Cities with Dr. Henry Emmons and other physicians and psychologists.  This program is an integrative skill based model used to support teens with anxiety, depression and other stress-related conditions.

MEET DR. CRE DYE

Cre Dye, Ph.D, RYT-200 is a Master's Level Professor in the Department of Counseling and Student Affairs at Western Kentucky University, a National Yoga Calm Trainer/Teacher, Wellness Speaker and Registered Yoga Teacher. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, Dr. Dye has served her local, regional and national community with Heart, Mind and Body Wellness for over 15 years.

She regularly facilitates workshops with parents, teachers, students and community professionals in the areas of ancestral healing, shamanic healing, yoga and drumming therapy, trauma releasing activities in counseling, urban school counseling and professional self –care. Cre is known as the "people's professor", taking time to get to know her students, providing guidance and bringing people back to themselves.

Dr. Dye has published and presented at national and international conferences, including the American School Counselors Association Conference, the National Youth At-Risk Conference and the Faculty Women of Color National Conference. She is currently conducting research on mindful yoga and graduate student well-being.
