LEARN HOW TO TEACH SCHOOL-WIDE MINDFULNESS

The Mindful Student Training is a 1-2 day training event designed to provide educators with the tools to help students self-regulate, focus and develop awareness for self and others. Learn innovative teaching strategies, counseling techniques and effective discipline based on the latest research in neuroscience and happiness.

EQUIPPING STUDENTS AND STAFF WITH THE TOOLS TO THRIVE IN SCHOOL AND IN LIFE

"If we want our children to be healthy and navigate the stressful environment we've created for them, it is imperative that we provide a toolbox. Our children need to be able to calm their thoughts and emotions, spread kindness and embrace mindful practices. Generation Wellness provides outstanding trainings that equip staff to provide these tools." - John Graf, Elementary School Principal

WHY MINDFULNESS?

Classrooms across the country are implementing mindfulness into their school day, resulting in improved feelings of community, increased self-regulation, decreased behavioral referrals and an improvement in attendance. Through an awareness of heart, mind and body, students are able to emotionally regulate themselves as well as successfully navigate social interactions. This awareness helps slow the nervous system and allows children/teens to better connect with their feelings and gain self-control.

WHAT IS THE MINDFUL STUDENT TRAINING?

The Mindful Student™Training is designed for educators, counselors and anyone who believes in supporting the development of the whole child. This two day event reveals the blueprint of teaching the power of connection to self, others and community through hands-on activities, "priming the brain" strategies, relaxation, social/emotional learning and more. Educators leave this training with the tools that build community, techniques that teach focus and self-regulation, and activities that promote kindness.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

Attend one or both days.

Day 1: After providing a general overview of the latest research in neuroscience, stress, trauma, happiness and mindfulness, participants will learn quick hands-on activities and strategies to incorporate into their setting immediately.
